Chemotherapy Side Effects – I Stopped Having My Period

According to my period tracker app, I haven’t been having my period for exactly 159 days as of today. So my period had completely stopped right after my third chemo.

My period can be described as a loyal companion. It’s been late for a grand total of 5 times in the past 24 years and had only stopped when I had my birth control implants on for 2 years.

I used to enjoy not having my periods because damn it was liberating to feel like a man. But now I’m very concerned. Never thought I’d say this but I’m wishing for it to quickly come back. I suppose what I’m truly worried about is my fertility levels.

However, my doctor assured me that I may very well still be ovulating even though I’m not on my periods. And that we should be “playing it safe” to avoid getting pregnant haha.

Oh well. More waiting games.
